Kazakhstan Growth Forum joins the GFCC as General Member

Published on January 17, 2025

We are pleased to inform that the Kazakhstan Growth Forum (KGF) has joined the GFCC. Based out in Almaty, KGF is a market collaboration platform that provides professional conferences, workshops, roundtables, professional awards and market analytics. But its impact goes much beyond that.

KGF advocates for market self-governance, best market practices, and social impact in the region. Throughout the years, KGF has helped not only to forge strategic partnerships and joint strategic tasks but also to develop a favorable investment environment by bringing together the opinions of different leaders and business experts and initiating regulatory and collaborative actions.

KGF initiatives, such as the Centras 500, which ranks the top 500 corporations in Kazakhstan and serves as a key business indicator, along with its professional awards that honor the nation’s top executives, have played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s business landscape.

"Despite national political challenges, our partners from Kazakhstan have held a strong position in sustaining the business environment and the competitiveness conversation alive in the country. Situated in a strategic location, between Europe and Asia, Kazakhstan plays a crucial role in driving economic and social stability to the region, besides its economic significance and rich uranium reserves essential for the energy transition", says GFCC President, Deborah L. Wince-Smith.

In 2019, the Global Innovation Summit was held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, capturing insights into the transformation of the region considering business and public sector challenges. The event, hosted by the Kazakhstan Competitiveness Council and the Center for Research and Consulting, gathered over 400 participants from across the globe.

"We are delighted to be joining the GFCC and working alongside its members to foster greater collaboration between businesses globally. For us, this membership is an invaluable opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge with leading global companies, which is crucial to enhancing our business ecosystem", says Kazakhstan Growth Forum Chairman, Eldar Abdrazakov.

"The partnership with GFCC represents a significant step in KGF's mission to strengthen Kazakhstan’s business environment and enhance our capacity for international cooperation. We look forward to the opportunities this collaboration will bring for local and international businesses alike", he completes.
