Hiro Nishiguchi joins the GFCC as a Distinguished Fellow
We're pleased to announce that Mr. Hiro Nishiguchi has joined our network as a Distinguished Fellow. Mr. Nishiguchi has worked for years at the intersection of business and policy, advancing the innovation agenda and connecting corporations and startups in Japan and worldwide. He has been a long-standing partner of the GFCC and served as a board member of our organization during his tenure at the Japan Innovation Network.
Currently, he is the Managing Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Network Japan, President of SG Japan at Startup Genome, President of Japan Bosai Platform, Chief Innovation Officer of the Advent Group, and Professor at Sophia University.
"Mr. Nishiguchi helped to build multiple cross-sector collaborations around the theme of innovation at a global scale and is a recognized global leader who contributed to advance innovation management systems worldwide. He is an innovative business and policy leader in japan working to build the next generation of innovation ecosystems", says GFCC President Deborah L. Wince-Smith. "By joining the GFCC as a fellow, I believe he will help us design new partnerships to drive innovation and propel our organization forward".
Mr. Nishiguchi's career includes pivotal positions at esteemed organizations such as the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group, Mercer (as a Worldwide Partner), and the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), where he served as Executive Managing Director.

Mr. Nishiguchi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Sophia University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He is a certified Innovation Management Professional by the Research Institutes of Sweden and a member of the US Technical Advisory Group for ISO TC279 Innovation Management.
