The GFCC welcomes new member Auckland University of Technology

We are pleased to announce that Auckland University of Technology (AUT), based in New Zealand, has joined our organization as a university member. Established in 2000, AUT is a modern and inclusive institution, and one of the world's best young universities according to Times Higher Education.

 

Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Damon Salesa, AUT strives to push the boundaries of education and research in a dynamic and transformative learning environment. Additionally, AUT is globally recognized for its commitment to inclusion and diversity.

 

“The GFCC’s 2024 Call to Action will focus on the positive dynamic between inclusivity and sustainability. Few are bringing to life this interplay better than AUT Vice-Chancellor Salesa. AUT’s efforts to drive inclusiveness across New Zealand’s innovation ecosystem is a global competitiveness best practice from which the GFCC community will learn and amplify,” notes GFCC President Deborah L. Wince-Smith.

AUT runs five faculties, 14 schools, and 60 research centers and it is involved in a wide range of world-class research projects, working in collaboration with universities and partner organizations around the world.
