GFCC Launches 2024 Call to Action at the GIS

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 Call to Action: Achieving a Sustainable Future for All. This landmark report provides a dynamic framework with actionable recommendations for stakeholders aiming to integrate sustainability and economic inclusiveness at local and global levels.

 

Drawing from the insights of a global network spanning over 35 countries—including leaders from government, industry, and academia—this report emphasizes the interconnected nature of sustainable development. It aligns with the GFCC Global Competitiveness Principles and outlines ten strategic action areas essential for long-term prosperity: optimizing natural resource use, advancing renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, responsible consumption, community well-being, skills development, R&D dissemination, data-driven governance, innovative financial frameworks, and sustainability-focused education.

 

Each action area includes guiding principles, strategies, and examples to equip stakeholders with practical pathways for fostering sustainable growth.
