Antonio Ricardo Alvarez Alban
President, Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI) Brazil
Antonio Ricardo Alvarez Alban holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Bahia and a degree in Business Administration from the School of Management of Bahia. He assumed the Presidency of CNI on October 31, 2023, for a four-year term.
From 2014 to 2023, he served as the President of the Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia (FIEB) and the Center of Industries of the State of Bahia (CIEB). He was the Vice President of CNI from 2018 to 2023.
Ricardo Alban is the Chairman of the National Council of the National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI) and the Superior Council of the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL), as well as a Director of the National Department of the Social Service of Industry (SESI).
He is a member of the National Deliberative Council of the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae), the National Council of Fertilizers and Plant Nutrition (Confert), and the National Council for Industrial Development (CNDI).

He was an executive at the Citibank group in the 1980s and, since 1987, has been a partner-director of Biscoitos Tupy, a traditional food factory founded by his family.
